Sunbound Partners with PCC Marketplace to Automate Senior Living Billing
A new partnership between Sunbound and the PointClickCare (PCC) Marketplace is set to streamline billing processes for senior living providers. The integration of Sunbound’s artificial intelligence-powered revenue cycle management and private payment automation into the PCC Marketplace will allow operators who use PCC to automate billing for residents paying through their own funds, as well as those related to Medicaid and Medicare programs.
The census and resident data already contained in electronic health records systems can be used to start automating this process. This integration is designed specifically for senior living providers, pairing software with a dedicated billing team to give operators full visibility into every claim, backed by people accountable for the results.
According to PCC, operators who currently use its revenue operating system have seen impressive results: a 99% net collection rate on claims and over 95% on-time resident payment rate. This suggests that automating manual billing processes can lead to significant improvements in financial management for senior living providers.
The integrated platform offers two options for senior living providers. Sunbound Private Payments automates private-pay operations, using AI-powered billing quality assurance and automated invoicing. The other option is the revenue cycle management solution, which handles eligibility and insurance verification, prior authorization, claim validation, submission, denial management, appeals, and payment posting.
Sunbound co-founder and CEO Manny Cominsky explained that his company built Sunbound to clear repetitive manual work so senior living teams can focus on residents. By automating billing processes within the system they already use, operators can get paid accurately and on time without adding extra workload or complexity.
The partnership between PCC Marketplace and Sunbound is part of a growing trend among software providers to offer customized, integrated solution sets that meet business goals. PointClickCare Director of Marketplace Strategy Mike Boesveld noted that the integration with Sunbound further extends customers’ technology capabilities.
