Building Realtime Voice AI with GPT-Live: A New System for Responsive Conversations

OpenAI has developed a new system called GPT-Live, which enables voice assistants to engage in real-time conversations. This breakthrough is the result of six months’ worth of work by Justin Uberti and Zahan Malkani, members of technical staff at OpenAI. The team’s goal was to create a system that could respond quickly and naturally to user input, much like human conversation.
