University of South Alabama Introduces Data Analysis Tools Concentration
The University of South Alabama’s Mitchell College of Business has announced a new concentration in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence within its marketing major. This move aims to equip students with the skills needed for data-driven careers, particularly in industries such as manufacturing, logistics, and consulting.
The program was created in response to growing industry demand for professionals who can analyze quantitative data and integrate artificial intelligence tools into their business processes. Key topics include Marketing Analytics, Market Research, Supply Chain Analytics, Advanced Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence, Business Data Visualization, and Intro to Econometrics.
Occupations such as management analysts and market research analysts consistently rank among the top 25 fastest-growing jobs in Alabama, offering strong growth potential. The new concentration is designed to equip graduates with the skills needed for these roles, leveraging machine learning tools and techniques to drive business decisions.
