Travelers Builds Its Own Large Language Model, Cutting AI Costs for Business

Insurance giant Travelers has made a significant move in the world of artificial intelligence by building its own large language model (LLM), dubbed TravelersLLM. This proprietary model is designed to provide better results than commercially available AI models when it comes to insurance-related questions, while also being cheaper to run. According to Mojgan Lefebvre, EVP and chief technology and operations officer at Travelers, the internal model delivers improved performance in this specialized domain.
