Roboteon Showcases Interoperable Robotics Platform at Automate

At the recent Automate conference, attendees had the chance to see Roboteon's software platform in action. The company demonstrated its ability to integrate and manage multiple robots from different vendors as a single fleet, with complete interoperability.

The platform, which enables companies to optimize robotics-enabled processes in warehousing and manufacturing, was showcased at booth #19019. Visitors could observe how the system integrates Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and order-picking robots from four different vendors, working together seamlessly.

Roboteon's software is designed to help companies achieve their goals with their robotics strategies and initiatives. The platform enables integration, management, orchestration, and optimization of robotics-enabled processes in warehousing and manufacturing, resulting in faster time-to-value, increased productivity, and greater flexibility over time.

The company has a strong presence at Automate this year, with many attendees expressing interest in the critical role that software plays in reaching their goals. While Roboteon has attended the conference before, this is its first time as an exhibitor.

One of the key features on display was the advanced simulation tool used to conduct What-if analysis on warehouse and manufacturing processes. This allows companies to generate various Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and make informed decisions at multiple time horizons.

Roboteon's platform utilizes specialized AI/ML capabilities in three distinct areas: rapid integration, real-time operational execution, and vision systems for specific tasks. The company uses AI to automatically analyze and map data structures between different systems, reducing integration timelines from weeks or months down to just a few days or hours.

The system also features scheduling and release engines that continuously evaluate real-time floor conditions, balancing workloads dynamically across human operators and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs). Additionally, the platform groups orders logically by considering overlapping parameters like storage locations, SKU profiles, and order types to maximize overall travel efficiency.

Dynamic path optimization is another key feature of Roboteon's system. Instead of following rigid paths, AI constantly updates routing for both robots and manual pickers based on live traffic and operational data from the floor to avoid bottlenecks.

The platform also uses machine learning to identify trends in historical order data, helping facility managers predict upcoming demand patterns and plan shifts accordingly. The forecasting engine generates synthetic data for Greenfield simulation scenarios.

Roboteon's vision systems use AI-based technology for automated bin-picking and cart placements to support automated fulfillment operations.
