Automating Precision Nutrition with SUMMITS and Hyphen
SOMMITS is joining forces with kitchen robotics company Hyphen to change the way food is served in high-performance venues. The partnership combines their software with Hyphen’s automated makeline, allowing facilities to customize consumers’ plates while keeping all food revenue.
The system works by syncing wearables, food trackers, and dietitian plans through an app that generates tailored meal choices based on individual biometrics. These orders are then sent to the robokitchen for precise assembly of chef-prepared items – no human intervention needed.
Hyphen’s CTO Daniel Fukuba calls this partnership a ‘Formula 1 use case for food automation,’ pushing maximum efficiency in high-performance venues. The system adapts macro targets in real time, auto-balancing meals based on training, sleep, prior food intake, and ingredient swaps to optimize every bite.
The SUMMITS app is working towards HIPAA-eligible standards to power every kitchen where meals meet specific requirements. Partner venues receive the AI nutrition software plus Hyphen’s easy-install robotics and hands-on training, turning existing kitchens into fueling centers that can handle customized orders with ease.
SOMMITS co-founder Jacob Rudoy brings over seven years of fine dining experience to recipe formulation, calibrating for both performance and flavor in their work. This collaboration is a significant step towards making personalized cafeterias the norm – and that’s no small feat.
