Apple Taps Nvidia for Next-Gen Siri Infrastructure
Siri is set to get a major upgrade with the launch of iOS 27 later this year, and Apple has reportedly chosen Nvidia's Blackwell B200 data center chips to power it. According to The Information, Apple will utilize Google's fleet of these high-performance processors to fuel requests from the AI-enhanced Siri.
The new Siri is based on Google's Gemini AI model, which allows for large-scale AI usage with high degrees of memory bandwidth and other essential features required for a popular chatbot. Nvidia's Blackwell architecture also enables secure data encryption, aligning with Apple's strict privacy standards.
Details about the next-gen Siri are still scarce, but it is expected to feature advanced capabilities such as remembering personal context for users and reading on-screen content. This would mark a significant improvement over previous versions of Siri, which have been limited in their functionality.
The public will get its first glimpse of Apple's plans for Siri at WWDC 2026, the company's annual developer conference scheduled for this Monday.
