Meta Unveils Latest AI Models with Enhanced Capabilities
After investing over $145 billion in its ambitious artificial intelligence plans, Meta has announced the release of two new AI models that represent a significant leap towards personal superintelligence. The company claims these models have caught up to the frontier and are capable of delivering ‘frontier coding performance.’ According to Meta, the latest Wonder AI models, Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full, excel in navigating complex tasks related to law, finance, and healthcare.
The new models boast two key features: active memory and active focus. Active memory enables an agent to recall relevant details across conversations, while active focus allows it to persistently work towards a goal even when faced with challenging tasks. These abilities are designed to help users accomplish more over extended periods of time. Meta plans to integrate these capabilities into its personal agent Muse, starting with paid subscribers.
The development of the new models required substantial investment and rigorous scientific work from Meta’s superintelligence team. In an interview with the Financial Times, CEO Mark Zuckerberg acknowledged that achieving this milestone necessitated a large amount of computational resources and significant financial backing. The company is now rolling out these models to subscribers, with Muse Wonder available through its API and in Muse Code at $4 per million input tokens and $20 per million output tokens.
Muse Wonder Full is accessible to users who subscribe to the ‘power usage’ or ‘maximum usage’ tiers of Muse Code, priced at $50/month and $200/month respectively. The release of these models marks a notable milestone for Meta in its pursuit of AI advancements. As the company continues to invest heavily in this area, it remains to be seen how these new capabilities will impact various industries and applications.
